I am Fan Yanliang who is an 18-year-old girl coming from Suzhou,
Jiangsu province. As a scholar, I am studying my English bridging course in NIE
now. I am an active girl and I have many hobbies: reading, singing, and watching Japanese cartoons. Studying abroad is a dream
in my childhood. And now it comes true. I really cherish this scholarship. In the following years, I am planning to speak
English like a native speaker. I am interested in Chemistry and Biology so I might to choose one as my major. I
want to make a big progress in my major and I will train myself to have enough ability to contribute much in my
work.
After having been studying more than
half a year in Singapore I feel the English
course is very wonderful and useful. I have done a survey about dating condition in Singapore. Now I am learning how to do projects, research paper and my own website.
My English is also improving. My vocabulary is enlarging. I have already learned some skills in doing academic study such
as writing academic paper (evaluation, argument, explanation etc.) and analysis articles. I am familiar with how to use the
search engines to find materials I need for assignments and
how to do PowerPoint for academic presentation.
